First Haircut

Well after 18 months Payton finally grew enough hair to get his first haircut.  My child was born with just a little hair which in turn has grown very slowly during the last 18 months.  He only really needed to have his curl in the back cut off but I had Mrs. Kay trim up over his ears and on the top a little bit.  I have to say my sweet little one has the prettiest blonde hair that almost looks white!  He sat in Jamie’s lap so I could use my new camera that I got for Christmas from my sweet husband and Payton did really great.  He got a little irritated a couple of times but overall did a great job!  All of his grandparents came along with us to watch him get his haircut which was really special to Jamie and myself, and after the haircut was over everyone came back to our house and ate.  We had a great time and made some good memories.

Christmas 2009 and the Blog Makeover

We had a wonderful Christmas this year and Payton got lots of toys, clothes, and money.  This year he seemed to understand a little better about what was going on which was fun for our family to watch him.  His big present from Santa was his John Deere power wheels tractor which he absolutely loves.

We spent most of the holiday going to parties, and then on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we visited with our families.  Somehow we all managed to get sick over the holidays and Payton and I went to the doctor this past Monday followed by Jamie going on Tuesday.  Jamie and myself both have had sinus infections and have felt really rotten.  Payton had a touch of bronchiolitis and had to have a breathing treatment.  Then Jamie developed a stomach bug on Thursday, so we all will be glad to feeling better.  Overall we hope to have a healthy, happy, and safe new year.  We wish the same for your family!

I am still learning how to work this whole blog setup page so my new background is pertaining to Birthdays.  This month I will be 26 years old on January 16th.  Wow I can’t believe how fast my life has flown by these past 5 years! I will be an old women before long.  I hope to get more time to really work on my blog and get it like I want it.  But for now I guess this will work!

Here are some pictures from Payton from Christmas!

Well I haven’t been the best blogging mommy in a couple of weeks.  I am pretty much busy like everyone else but I have not made time to blog like I use to.  Payton has had croup after Thanksgiving and tonight he is running a fever so Lord I hope he is not coming down with anything.  All the pictures in this post is a re-cap of the last 2-3 weeks.  So here is a whole bunch of random pics! Hope everyone has a blessed CHRISTmas and a Happy New Year!

Happy Birthday Mama

Yesterday November 17th was my mama’s birthday.  I am so blessed to have such a wonderful mother whom I have always been so close with.  She is my best friend and I have always been able to tell her anything.  As far back as 4th grade I can remember her being in the hospital throughout much of my life.  She has a lot of medical problems with her heart including 2 mechanical valves, a pacemaker, and a constant battle with congestive heart failure.  She is such a strong women and I can truly say that she has been through a lot in her short life but she puts up a good fight even when she feels terrible.  I would have to say she loves all of her family but the highlight of her life would be Payton and Jackson!  Here are some pictures from her birthday supper at the Baron and Beef.

Our Little Monkey

Well this year was Payton’s second Halloween but actually this one was much more fun!  He was old enough to enjoy his costume and hold his basket for candy.  He did really good and didn’t get aggravated  with his costume except he took his hat off as often as he could.  He was the sweetest little monkey I ever did see and we had a great time trick-or-treating with our family.  Here are some good pictures of our sweet monkey.

Overall we had a great time and look forward to the many years to come spending precious time with our sweet angel.  How blessed we are to even have a child to love and spoil and we are double blessed to have a healthy child.  Thank you Lord for blessing me with such a wonderful family!

15 months old

Yesterday Payton was 15 months old.  Today he had his 15 month old Well-Baby check up at the doctor.  Since the weather was rainy today Jamie was able to go with me to take little man to the doctor.  I am glad he is able to go to most appointments to talk with the doctor and asks question just like me.  I always make him be the bad guy and hold Payton for shots and the assessment.  As soon as Dr. P started listening to Payton’s heart and checking his ears, he started crying.  He DISLIKES any doctor coming close to his ears since he had sooo many ear infections before he got tubes at 8 months.  One thing is for sure, he doesn’t forget why he is at the doctors office!

Today’s visit wasn’t as bad as I thought.  Payton only received one shot for MMR.  They were out of Flu shots for his age group so we will have to go back next week for another shot :(  Here are Payton’s stats and a little bit of what he is doing right now.

Weight= 19 lbs. and 12 ozs.   (2 percentile)

Height= 30.75 inches   (38 percentile)

Head Circumference= 47 cm   (33 percentile)

Right now Payton you have been walking since a little bit after your first birthday.  You are practically running now.  You climb onto everything and I am so scared that you are going to really get hurt.  You love to play with tractors and trucks in the floor and push them around.  You really love to read books now and you listen intensively to words and sounds that mommy says.  You feed yourself like a big boy and you like to use a toddler fork and spoon.  You have become a very picky eater and you don’t like half of the food that you use to like when we introduced table food.  Right now you like hotdogs, chicken nuggets, french fries, cheese doodles, and fruit.   You sleep through the night and you don’t fight sleep much anymore because you are always worn out because you are so busy.  You have started throwing your head backwards when you get mad and Dr. P said, “ this too shall pass!”.  Your most favorite word to say is “JAIDA” and you call her 100 times a day…that is our dog!  You now have 4 teeth on the bottom, and 5 teeth on the top.  Mommy just found 2 molars that have come in last week.  Your mommy and daddy love you more than anything in the world and you are just perfect.  We can’t imagine what life was before you and we look forward to watching you learn and do something new each day.
